Application Process

Thank you for you interest in Northside Christian School. The following describes the student application process and admission policies. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Northside School Office at 763-755-3993.

Step 1: Schedule a tour or informational meeting (by phone or visiting the campus):
Parents and students are welcome to schedule an interview with the administrator and a tour of the campus. During the school year, families are welcome to come during school hours to see the school in action and meet the staff. This is a time where you can discuss with the Administrator or teacher(s) any questions that you may have.

Step 2: Prayerful Consideration of God's Direction:
Parents are urged to seek the Lord and receive God's divine go ahead if Northside School is the place for your family.

Step 3: Complete Application Forms (listed at the end) and return to NCS:

Complete student and parent Application Form with $250.00 registration fee.
Complete Financial Contract Form indicating your family payment plan and indicating what preschool schedule or grade your child is attending - grade placement decisions must be clarified with the administrator. The Financial Contract Form is the only form needed for re-enrollment for the following school year.
All students must have their family clinic fax the immunization record to the school office at 763-755-4405; Pre-school students must also complete MN State Immunization Summary Form . These forms/records are required by MN to have on file before the first day the student begins class.
Authorize to Release Student Records (excluding preschool). This form should be presented to your home school if your child is transferring from another school. Your child's records should include (request form listed below):
*Administrative Records
*Transcripts of Grades and Test Scores
*Standardized Test Results
*Attendance Records
*Special Education / IEP (if any)
*Psychological / Medical Specialist Reports (if any)
*Health and Immunization Records
Pre-school and Kindergarten Applicants: For the school records provide a photo copy of a Certified Birth Certificate (please present a copy as the originals would not be returned).
Kindergarten Applicants: Contact the school office (763-755-3993) to schedule a Gesell Kindergarten Development Screening. The screening is done by NCS personell and the fee is part of the registration fee. If screening is done prior to registering, the cost is $30.00.
Complete Student Emergency Information Form
Pastor's Questionnaire (or Sunday School Teacher of student) completed and returned to NCS.
Sign the Picture Release Form that allows NCS to use pictures of your child on posters, web site, yearbook and/or brochures.
Fill out the Parent Volunteer Program Form which enourages parents to be an active part of their child's school.

Step 4: Admission Screening / Testing:
NCS may request additional standardized testing. This may be administered by NCS personell if additional information is needed to evaluate the student's achievement, abilities, potential and/or grade placement. There is a fee for testing, dependent on tests required. This fee would not be more than $100.00.

Step 5: Letter of Acceptance:
Upon completion of the application process (steps 1-4) you will be notified regarding your child's / children's enrollment status. NCS will enclose a family coupon book based on your family payment plan with the letter. Please note that an acceptance letter may be issued with the family's agreement that the immunization records and transcripts will be received by NCS not later than September 30th of that school year or within 30 days after you have enrolled.
